Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service is the statutory fire and rescue service for the county of Derbyshire in England. The service was formed in 1974 by merging the County Borough of Derby Fire Brigade and the Derbyshire Fire Service as part of local government reorganisation. The brigade provides fire cover to an area of over 1,000 square miles and a population of approximately 1 million people across both urban and rural communities.

The service operates 31 fire stations, 9 of which are staffed by full-time crews, 3 are day crewed, and 19 are retained stations. During the 2023/24 reporting year, the service responded to over 6,800 incidents.
