Fire Stations

There are over 1900 operational fire stations across the UK, the oldest of which, New Cross in London, has been in service since 1894, and is one of a few stations that date from the age of horse-drawn steam power.  In recent years, there has been an increase in shared service stations where multiple emergency services share the same facility. The fire stations below demonstrate these buildings' diverse shape, size, style and structure.
