Rescue Units

While frontline pumping appliances carry a selection of rescue tools, specific incidents require more specialist equipment and resources.  These incidents include heavy rescue (vehicle, train, aircraft, etc.), line, water or animal rescue, and rescue from confined spaces. For these incidents, specialist rescue units are in service which carry an array of equipment, including hydraulic cutting and lifting equipment,  harnesses, ropes and pulleys, chainsaws and power tools, and additional protective equipment.  These vehicles range from lightweight 4x4s and vans to heavyweight trucks.
